My name is Alinke. I am 33 years old and have an MSc (Agric) in Plant Pathology as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. My passion in life is education – educating myself and educating others. I believe, as Nelson Mandela once said, that EDUCATION is the most POWERFUL weapon you can use to change the world. In fact, I believe education is the ONLY way to bring about meaningful, lasting change. 

I am also a wife and mother.  I met David, the love of my life, on an online dating site in 2012. We got married in 2014 and have never looked back. Our son, Luke, was born in 2016 and having him and becoming a mother was the best thing that has ever happened to me. Luke is the perfect combination of his parents – he’s the spitting image of his dad with his dad’s keen interest in anything technical or mechanical, but he’s got his mom’s brown eyes and extroverted personality. In 2019, his sister, Lara, came along, She looks like me but with David’s striking eye colour. Lara is our “lockdown baby” and we can’t wait to see how her personality develops as she grows up.
